Carnatic music is classical music, with a long and rich history, that originates from South India. Many performers have gained a world class reputation singing and playing it. A number of teachers, students and parents have contributed to the development of this classical music in Australia.
The Saiva Manram is very keen to support and develop this musical tradition in our society, in Sydney, especially amongst our young children. The Saiva Manram encourages artists in Sydney to perform musical concerts every month.
If anyone would like to stage the concert in our Cultural hall, please contact Mr.Jeiram Jegathesan, Director of Cultural Activties on 0432 796 424. |
