Cultural Hall Use - Terms and Conditions
Following Terms and Conditions will apply in regards to booking and the use of Tamil Educational & Cultural Centre Hall


General
  1. The Saiva Manram’s Tamil Educational & Cultural Centre Hall (TECCH) shall be available for use only when it is not being used by the Saiva Manram (TSMI) for any of its activities.
  2. An application form is available at the counter of the Sydney Murugan Temple to request for the TECCH use. The committee of the TSMI shall confirm the booking.
  3. No regular private bookings shall be accepted.
  4. TECCH is used on Sundays between 1.00pm and 4.30pm for conducting religious classes. No bookings are allowed in that duration except on school holidays.
  5. The hall has a seating capacity for 250 people.
  6. Smoking or drinking (liquor) is prohibited in the premises of the temple at 217 Great Western Highway, Mays Hill 2145.
  7. No booking shall be accepted during any special religious events at the temple.
Tentative Bookings
By contacting TSMI, tentative bookings shall be made for the use of hall. Any tentative bookings not confirmed within two weeks will be cancelled.

Miscellaneous
  1. 250 chairs will be provided at no extra cost.
  2. Car Park is available for the parking.Vehicle should not be parked on roads adjacent to TSMI premises according to regulations of the Holroyd Council.
  3. All events must be completed on Sunday to Thursday by 8.30 pm and on Saturday by 9.30 pm.
  4. The cost of damages, if any, including additional cleaning, if required, shall be deducted from the deposit.
  5. All decorations shall be removed properly at the end of event to the satisfaction of TSMI.
  6. The hall and the surrounding premises should be cleaned at end of the event to the satisfaction of TSMI to qualify for a full refund of the deposit.
  7. An advance of at least 10% of the agreed use charges shall be paid within 2 weeks from the date booking.
  8. The balance payment and a refundable deposit of $100 shall be paid not later than the day before the event.
  9. No food shall be brought into these premises.
  10. Only Indian classical / carnatic music shall be allowed to play in the premises.
  11. No Bookings are allowed after 5.00pm on Fridays.
  12. Hall should be vacated by 1.00pm on Sundays except school holidays
