Cultural Hall Booking Procedure
Please note that the Cultural Hall is not available for booking on Sundays between 1:00PM and 4:30 PM with the excepted during school holidays. Before making a booking please read the Terms and Conditions of use of the Cultural Hall (also available on this page).

Weddings Rate
The booking of the cultural hall for a wedding includes:

Inclusion
  • Payment for the priest officiating
  • Coconuts, Kudam etc used in a wedding ceremony by priest
  • Erecting & dismantling and the use of the manavarai (standard)
  • Providing materials for “Nirrai- Kudam” at entrance.
Exclusion
  • Naathaswaram (live music)
  • Decorating the Hall
$1,000 plus a refundable deposit of $100 applies. Refundable deposit of $100 will be refunded when the hall is returned in the state it was provided for the event.

The hall and the immediate surroundings need to be cleaned after the wedding by the people who booked the hall for the day. Minimum Deposit of $ 100 payable within two weeks from the date booking.

The balance hire charges and a refundable deposit of $100 shall be paid not later than the day before the day of event.




All Other functions Rate
 

The using charge is $30 per hour. However, a minimum charge of $100 plus a refundable deposit of $50 applies. The $50 will be refunded when the hall is retuned in the state it was provided for the event.

For example,
1 to 3 hours $100 + $50 = $ 150
4 hours $120 + $50 = $ 170
5 hours $150 + $50 = $ 200
etc.


Following hall facilities are available on request

Sound System Additional $ 50 would be charged, if required
Meals

Saiva Manram can provide the meals if needed. (Need to have a minimum booking for 75 people)

Additional meals for 10% of the number of meals ordered will be provided at no extra cost. Any additional meal supplied over this number will be charged at the normal rate of $9.00 per plate.
